The Garden Where Love Lives

a Tiny Kingdom story about the hollows that remember

In the royal gardens of the Tiny Kingdom, every corner tells a story. The flowers lift their faces to the sun, the tall grasses whisper to the wind, and the chairs wait patiently in the shade. But some places hold memories too deep for words.

There are hollows in the green where Prince Donder once lay. He pressed his little body into the earth until the grass shaped itself around him. Day after day, he chose those spots, resting where the world felt soft and true.

Now the Queen walks through her garden and finds Princess Guusje curled into those same hollows. One by one, as if her paws follow a secret map, she settles into the places her brother loved. The grasses bend again, the earth welcomes her, and the garden seems to sigh in recognition.

Each time the Queen’s eyes fill. Tears fall, because she sees not only the Princess, she sees her dearest white Prince too. His presence, his absence, his love, all living in these small resting places. And though her heart aches, it also softens, because nothing has been lost.

The garden still remembers, and so does she.
